Dariusz Pietrzykowski - 2000 - 2002 reviews

2000 reviews

The person deserving attention was Dariusz Pietrzykowski - a guest soloist from Bydgoszcz Opera. This artist, already known for numerous successful performances ( Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni or Ernest in Don Pasquale) once again gave a performance of his nice lyrical voice (although we could use a little bit more masculine sound) and of accuracy as far as his interpretation of the part was concerned. He was way better than Gabriel Hwang, a Korean tenor whom we watched performing this role in December.
IV - VI 2000 A Bulletin of the National Club of Opera Fans "TRUBADUR" Monika i Dorota Pulik
The female artist, possessing a voice of enormous interpretative possibilities, managed to adjust it to the needs of Mozart, astonishing everyone with impeccability of intonation and beauty of a masterly lead cantilene. The same thing may be said about her partner - Tamino, played by a guest tenor from Bydgoszcz - Dariusz Pietrzykowski. The two artists created an amazingly consistent duet as far as style and singing is concerned.
16.04.2000 RADIO ŁÓDŹ Krystyna Pietranek (The Magic Flute premiere)
Special attention should be paid to Dariusz Pietrzykowski, a guest soloist from Bydgoszcz Opera, performing as Tamino. Expressive voice and an accurate interpretation of his role.
17.04.2000 EXPRESS ILUSTROWANY - Cukierkowy flet 'Premiera w Teatrze Wielkim' (Mushy flute 'Grand theatre premiere') - Renata Sas
Dariusz Pietrzykowski, a guest singer cast in the role of young prince Tamino, "sang" his character evocatively and nobly.
18.04.2000 GAZETA WYBORCZA - Opera od kuchni (The backstage of opera) - Aleksandra Bęben
...as well as Dariusz Pietrzykowski (Tamino) - unfortunately still appearing at the stage of Opera in Łódź only as a guest
18.04.2000 TRYBUNA ŁÓDZKA - "Flet" z demobilu ('A Flute' from army surplus) - Anna Iżykowska-Mironowicz
Dariusz Pietrzykowski performed the role of Tamino without fault. He was singing with an excellent sense of Mozart style like Woś and Rezner; however, he distinguished himself as an actor.
17.04.2000 WIADOMOŚCI DNIA - Żelaznym fletem po uszach (An iron flute grating the ears) - Michał Lenarciński
...the acting of two characters in love: Pamina - Katarzyna Nowak and Tamino - Dariusz Pietrzykowski went out well.
21.04.2000 ZIELONA GAZETA Czarodziejski flet (The Magic Flute)
I would place two male creations equally on the first place: that of a guest tenor Dariusz Pietrzykowski (Tamino) and that of a baritone Andrzej Niemierowicz (Papageno).
june 2000 KALEJDOSKOP - "Czarodziejski" lecz nie oczarowujący ('Magic', however not enchanting) - Janusz Janyst

2001 reviews

A person who, despite an uneasy task that awaited him, made the grade was also Dariusz Pietrzykowski - playing the role of Nemorin, a peasant in love, at the side of beautiful Adina played by Gwendolyn Bradley.
30.05.2001 GAZETA ŁÓDZKA - Miłość destylowana (Distilled love) - Aleksandra Bęben
As well as a splendid interpretation of the character of Tamino, which we owed to Dariusz Pietrzykowski.
01.06.2001 DZIENNIK ŁÓDZKI / WIADOMOŚCI DNIA Pojedynek dwóch sopranów (A duel of two sopranos) - Michał Lenarciński

2002 reviews

The performers did not outshine the first-night cast- except for Dariusz Pietrzykowski, who was more interesting than Adam Zdunikowski in the role of Fenton (exceptionally beautiful was the performance of Dal labbro il canto estasiato).
I - III 2002 TRUBADUR - The Magazine of the National Club of Opera Fans No 1 (22)
Gracious and funny gentlemen: Andrzej Niemierowicz, Dariusz Pietrzykowski, Andrzej Malinowski, Marcin Ciechowicz, Borys Ławreniw made us follow the scenic events with great interest.
